Happy tidings
When I got home from work today I found the wild duck that had been nesting in my garden in the middle of the lawn with all 9 ducklings underneath her. Due to her not being able to get out of the garden I had to catch her and her chicks and re locate them. She was easy to catch but the ducklings gave me the run about! I am pleased to say I managed to get all of them to the local reservior and realeased them in a safe location and watched her take them in the water and swim off into the long reeds. It was a very satisfying to watch. I hope they do well but I will never know as there was lots of other mother ducks there, hence why I realeased them in that location. I did manage to get a quick photo of them after I caught them, they were really cute!

i read your blog too!
I found sniffys album today and just like to say ive been up and down (kite flying, sledging etc) Ivinghoe beacon and Pitsone Hill hundreds of times and did'nt realize what they were!
I think i went to Pitsone Mill just after they finished renovating it. There were hundreds of people there and we couldn't park so we stopped at Pitsone Hill and walked to the mill. I was very young, but i do remember going inside, and i think they had Morris dancers prancing around outside as well!
